I LOVE THIS FAMILY! I had a blast with Ryan, Sarah and Lane in Redondo Beach!

Sarah's mom came along to help with Lane. It made for a perfect family afternoon at the beach with the family and it helped to have grandma holding Mickey Mouse above my head!! Smart thinking!!

Sarah is so pretty. I can not wait to shoot with her and Ryan at Verandas April of 2011!

I always say, "fall makes the best sunsets!"

Ogden Photography had an amazing time at Terranea with The Zak Family! It had been a while and I can't believe how everyone had grown. I even thought Raquel was Michelle when I first pulled up.

The kids loved when we hiked to the public beach. It burns some steam and breaks up the photo shoot, which is important when dealing with little ones. We were hoping to see whales...

Michelle and Pete are as cute and happy as ever. I was so happy to catch up and meet the newest family member.

Ogden Photography was so happy to be back shooting at The Redondo Beach Historical Library! I really enjoy working with everyone on staff at the Library. Kathy, Spectrum Caterings head coordinator keeps everything running smoothly. It is always a pleasure.

Maya and Alan incorporated many Indian traditions into the wedding. The colors were bright and beautiful. Magical Blooms once again outdid themselves. The flowers were gorgeous. Here are a few details...

Maya wore a lovely white Indian sari. It was so interesting to watch her being "wrapped". I love the result. She looked really beautiful. The evening before, Maya had a henna stencil applied to her hands. I so enjoyed shooting all the details!

The guys were really fun to shoot. I was able to do traditional shots, but of course, my favorites are the fun candids...

The ceremony was officiated by Alan's father. It was perfect. All the children in attendance were adorable, but I loved Alan's nephew's confident walk down the aisle...

After the ceremony we took advantage of the grounds and the sunset.

It was a dancing crowd and Lance the dj for The Library made sure everyone had a great time.

The Freeman Family August 11, 2010

When Jamie told her son that the family was meeting Cheryl for portraits, Paul (the youngest of the grandchildren) replied, "my Cheryl?". I just loved that. I had to share it...

I needed a location that would give The Freeman's six grandchildren some elbow room and Terranea was the perfect place. We started on the grassy area above the ocean.

I like to start with the whole family and then break it down into smaller groups.

We made our way down to the rocky little beach. The little hike was perfect for everyone.

We got amazing and fun shots. It has been a while since I have shot The Freeman's. It was so nice catching up and seeing how grown up all the kids are now. Thanks Freeman's!!

Michael and Michelle, July 17, 2010

Ogden Photography was so happy to meet Michelle at her wedding site, The Crowne Plaza Hotel, San Pedro. The perfect description of Michelle is "bombshell" and she did not let anyone down on her big day. She looked gorgeous. I shot some candids and details in the room. When we all left to go to the ceremony, Michelle stepped into the frame of this window and I knew I would love this shot...

I did some traditional shots of the guys, but my favorites are always the more "candid" shots.

Michelle and Michael are so cute together. Here are a few shots of the two of them and then a wedding party shot. I love the reflection in the water.

The reception was full of great moments, but I think my favorite was when Michael thanked everyone. The dance floor was packed! This picture of Michelle dancing says it all. The maid of honor and the best man caught the bouquet and the garter, coincidence? Hmmmm.

Congratulations Michael and Michelle! And a special thank you to Suzie Bell, for introducing me!

The Felix Family

What a blast I had with the Felix family today! We started at my shop on Hermosa Avenue and worked our way down to the beach. The kids were so amazing. Our main focus was to get some individual shots of the kids. Easily accomplished. Here are just 4 of 154 cute, cute images of the kids...

We were able to sneak in family shots too.

Al and Carlie's Wedding July 16, 2010

Ogden Photography was so excited to work with Al and Carlie at The Long Beach Museum of Art. What an amazing venue to shoot at. Visually it is a photographers dream, but not only that, I have to say the staff is top notch. Especially Sara, the event coordinator. I can not say enough about her so I will just thank her. Thanks Sara.

Carlie got ready in the building built in 1912 that not only houses great art itself but is also where Claire's Cafe (shout out for the food right now. It was great.) is located. I had so much fun shooting in and around this building. Carlie looked so pretty and she was so at ease. We got really amazing photos. Here is just a small peek.

I used the side of the building to do some really fun candid shots of Al and the guys. I did some shots in the street also. I like the look of these a lot...

How cute is this sign-bearer? This is the first time I had seen this and I LOVE it! Carlie's friend Paul Lemire played guitar and sang. I have worked with him before and I think he is fantastic. Notice the sign for after the ceremony. Cute.

We were able to use the museum for shots after the ceremony. I was in photographer heaven!

The building makes for such a great background! Then back to the side of the building! Carlie's nephew (the ring bearer) was one of the high lights. He was so cute and fun and he just loved being a part of such a special day.

Allen from AAA DJ Service helped me organize this shot at the last minute. I have worked with Allen many many times and it is always a pleasure. Thanks for helping me get this shot Allen! I think it makes for a cute "end of the night" photo.

I was able to see several couples at Carlie and Al's wedding that I have shot in the past. This wedding was a great time. Thanks Al and Carlie and CONGRATULATIONS!

Alicia McKenzie and Friends at The Los Angeles Regional Food Bank

I met Alicia about 5 years ago when I shot her sister Amasha's wedding. I have been shooting for the McKenzie/Lyles girls on and off ever since.

Last Saturday Alicia put together a group of family and friends to volunteer at The Los Angeles Regional Food Bank.

It was so inspirational. Although it was a lot of work, It was obvious everyone was having a great time. The sense of accomplishment and selflessness was palpable in the room. Good for you Alicia. I wanted you to know I am thinking of doing this for my upcoming birthday!

Kenny and Claudia, May 14, 2010

Once again Ogden Photography was at Terranea and I have to say, "I am loving it"! The grounds are beautiful and the rooms I have seen are spacious and lovely. Claudia looked beautiful. We took advantage of this gorgeous day before heading to The South Coast Botanic Gardens.

I caught up with the guys there. I was hanging out with the guys before the ceremony and asked Kenny's sons to give me some attitude. This is what I got. How cute are they?

The ceremony was perfect. Perfection was also on the minds of the flower girls. Kenny's niece dropped a few petals and insisted on picking them up before continuing. I love moments like this. Claudia's uncle presided over a "lasso" ritual. I had seen this before at Claudia's sisters ceremony. I think it is really special.

Kenny gave Claudia this impromptu kiss as they finished walking down the isle. It was perfect.

The Botanical Gardens are so fun to wander and take pictures of the bride and groom.

The reception was really fun. I loved Claudia and Kenny's first dance. I also loved Claudia's dance with her father. I think everyone had tears in their eyes.

The DJ, Gus Garcia of Battleson Entertainment, helped me gather everyone for this group photo...

As the kids get older, it gets harder and harder to schedule the obligatory family photo. Susie took the opportunity when the whole family was in town for Allie's graduation from USC. Katie also graduated from USC and Maggie graduated from Stanford. Beauty and Brains.

We originally scheduled the shoot for the beach, but at the last minute decided on Malaga Cove and I am so glad.

I am convinced Malaga Cove was built just so I could pair it with my new antique filter. I love the look. I think we got some great stuff.

Hoelscher Kids 2010

I remember Tanner as a 3 year old in my studio. He was a little shy, very sweet and had the best little smile (especially after the lollypop reward). Now, a few years later (amazingly he has aged and I have not), we are at Wilderness Park in Redondo Beach, shooting his Senior portraits. Getting together on a weekday afternoon made it really easy to incorporate head shots for the entire Hoelscher brood. Rosie picked up some great 5x5 square frames, so our goal (besides a great Senior portrait), was to get a tight head shot of all 4. I think we got it!

At the last minute, I told all the kids to run over to Tanner and just "hang out". After all was said and done, this shot meant the most to Rosie. Tanner is going away to college, it might be the last shot of all 4 kids for a while. Good luck Tanner and congratulations!

Ann and Olivia, May 14, 2010

I first met Ann and Olivia 4 1/2 years ago. Ann resides in Sweden, but was here visiting family and friends. We did mother and daughter shots on the beach in Manhattan. Now, years later, we meet up again!

I think Olivia has her mother's eyes and sweet disposition. I look forward to meeting up with the Sarimo girls the next time they are in California!

Courtney and Devan's engagement session

I met Courtney and Devan at Terranea Resort in Rancho Palos Verdes for their engagement photo session. We walked around the beautiful grounds taking advantage of every view. I feel as though I know Courtney so well (I shot her sister Kelly's wedding in 2008), it was fun chatting with her about her upcoming wedding in October. It was also really nice to be able to get to know Devan. He seems to be the perfect match for Courtney. I could not be any happier for the both of them! I can't wait to see everyone at the wedding!!

Baby Allen

I usually set up a temporary studio at the home of the new parents and newborns. That is exactly what I did for Christy, Jason and little Allen.

Allen was the perfect little model. He was alert and inquisitive for the first half of our shoot. Then he decided it was chow time. He did not fuss at all. Christy recognized a little gurggle sound and that was it. She fed him and boom, out cold. That is when we got the great sleeping shots...

When he woke up from his little cat nap, he was bright and happy!

I shot Christy and Jason's wedding a few years ago. It was so fun for me to see them again and meet the new addition to their family.

Congrats guys! He is soooo perfect!

Rahul and Amber April 3, 2010

When Ogden Photography arrived at Terranea,Lettie Mix and Erin of Glow Salon were just wrapping up hair and make up. Amber, Alexa and Donna looked beautiful. Amber chose a multi layered dress that looked stunning on her. I shot a few candids before we headed off to the ceremony at Wayfarer's Chapel.

As a last minute surprise, Amber's brother (who is in the service) was able to join us. I am sure that meant so much to Amber and her family.

Rahul and Amber's reception was at La Venta in Palos Verdes. I am always happy to work with New York Foods as they are on top of every detail. It was a pleasure meeting Courtney, I had never worked with her before. She is an excellent asset to the N.Y.F. team. Rebecca of Lily Pad Floral Design was the florist. Her work speaks for itself.

The evening ended for Ogden Photography as the sun was setting.

Max Miller's Bar Mitzvah

Ogden Photography shot the formal pictures at CTJ, Congregation Tikvat Jacob, the week before Max's ceremony. I was able to meet Rabbi Mark Hyman and B'nai Mitzvah Director Beth Garden for the first time. They are such a friendly team. It was a pleasure working with them

The next week... The ceremony and party!

Cars and Racing! This was the theme for Max's Bar Mitzvah party. And I could not think of a better place to hold such an event as The Automobile Driving Museum in El Segundo (Jodee Hulsebus was my go-to girl). The museum sent an antique Packard to pick Max up at CTJ. The party space at the museum had a really hip feel to it. It is large and industrial with cool cars in every corner that guests are able to enjoy close up and personal. David, The New York DJ, brought hip hop dancers that really got the party started. They were great. Max even had Slot Car Racing, thanks to Speedy Racers. Lucky winners of the games David played won motorcycle helmets!

Basically is was a great time for all. Mozel Tov Max!

I met Michele and Brian at the Manhattan Pier for their engagement photo session. I really liked how they had fun with it. Their relaxed attitude made for a great candid session! I can't wait to shoot the wedding in August!
